some perspective on perspective

No matter how high or lofty the throne,

What sits on it is the same as your own.

a tip on dumping mental baggage

Got any negative associations knocking around in your mind no matter how much you consciously disagree with them? Try this simple trick:

Every time you “hear” a negative memory or association or feedback loop in your mind, just consciously apply each the 3 D’s to it: first Distance yourself from it, then Disrupt it with your will, and then Discredit it with reason.

And remember: Your past may indeed inform your future, but it doesn’t determine it!

a handy mental switcheroo

Rather than focusing on why all the negative things in your life seem to be inescapable or inevitable, focus instead on why they don’t HAVE to be!

doubt + guilt + futility = crappy life

Futility is a uniquely human experience. The poisons of Doubt and Guilt are the key forces responsible for it. And all three forces are incredibly toxic to the human spirit.

But when you manage to tap into your inner reserves of will, you can access the power you need to purge them from your system.

Inoculate yourself against the Doubt & Guilt that corrode your spirit, and you can be assured of maximizing your potential and living your best.

Sure, its hard work, but what an extraordinary payoff!
